Our vintage sparkling wine is working on refining its bubbles - expected by 2026

While adapting to the weather conditions in 2022, we harvested in September instead of the end of October in the Czurda vineyard. The quality grapes, which were already ripe, retained their lively acidity and provided an excellent basis for a millésimé sparkling wine. For us, making the most of nature’s gifts is more important. CZURDA Riesling, Brut Millésimé, 2022 is a new experiment in the méthode traditionnelle. Instead of the obligatory 12 months, it is aged on the lees for at least 36 months, and the base wine is bubbled at the Sziget sparkling wine cellar in Gols, in the Burgenland region of Austria, which is renowned for its quality.

Tasting note (after 12 months)

Pale golden yellow and complex with a rich aroma. The riesling aromas are subtle for a sparkling wine but do not conceal its character. The typical southern fruitiness of the variety gives it a freshness with hints of green herbs. Very aromatic with a creamy texture. It has a seductive, tiny, and elegantly sparkling perlage with a long-lasting, lively acidity, as we have come to expect from CZURDA Rieslings. Simply a high-quality vintage sparkling wine.

Our newly launched sparkling wine has already proven itself with classic food pairings, enhancing fresh dressings and complementing all seafood to enhance your enjoyment. Of course, we recommend it for holidays or any day when we want to highlight ‘someone’ important, but also when we want to indulge in a festive menu with a partner who will enhance the experience all the way through.
