Those who know it are waiting, but only 600 bottles are available.
After careful hand harvesting, for 2023, we gathered less raw material than usual, but it was more beautiful than ever. A not-too-dry summer and plenty of autumn sunshine combined with the special microclimate of the morning mists helped produce a slight burst of the riesling. Thus, this year, our Spätlese-type wine, Sweet Temptation, is of outstanding quality, with a fuller, more intense aroma while retaining a beautiful acidity.
Tasting note
Pale yellow in colour with ripe fruit aromas of apricots, pears, and pineapples, spiced with hints of thyme. The scent of fruit comes from late-harvested but not botrytised grapes and raisins. A perfect balance of lively acidity and residual sugar complements the complexity of the flavours, coupled with a beautiful minerality. Precise, classic, and complex, with a decidedly long finish.

Food recommendation
The residual sugar balanced with the fine acidity creates a harmonious wine with pairing possibilities that give sommeliers a great range of options. It is excellent with dishes like mature cheeses or fondue, classic roast malaise, asparagus, or foie gras, but it is also a great match for Asian cuisine. Anything that contains butter or oil or is salty or spicy. It's 'off-dry,' so you won't feel over-sugared for your next course. It's the perfect table refreshment for a sunny Sunday afternoon.
